Scan in Order

Want your photos scanned in a specific order? No problem! Just group your pictures using rubber bands in the exact order you’d like them scanned.

When to choose this option:

1. You’ve divided your photos into categories (like by year or event) and want them kept in that order, even if they’re all the same size.
2. Your entire order is not grouped strictly by size. (Just placing small bundles in size order doesn’t count.)

Tips for organizing:

1. Use index cards to label each group with handwritten notes, like "Hawaii 1985" or "Birthday 2001."
2. Number the top right corner of each card to show the scanning order. If the order doesn’t matter, you can skip numbering.
3. The index card will be scanned as the first image in each group.

Please do NOT:

1. Use Post-it notes (they either get scanned or tossed).
2. Use scraps of paper, paperclips, etc. (They jam our scanners and get discarded).

Note:

We do not reorganize photos into chronological order. We simply follow your numbered index cards or scan your groups as we receive them. Even if you choose Scan in Order, you still need to remove all photos from envelopes and make sure everything is grouped neatly and follow every how to prepare your photos guidelines.
