“Operation Photo Scan” Offers 1,000 Free Photo Scans for Military Families

IRVINE, CA, Nov 06, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) — In honor of Veteran’s Day (Nov. 11), ScanMyPhotos.com, a world leader in hi-speed photo transfer, is offering all active and retired members of the military with free photo scanning through December 5, 2009.

Called "Operation Photo Scan," ScanMyPhotos.com will scan and digitally archive onto a DVD up to 1,000 4"x6" photos for military families at no charge. The normal charge of [$79.50] will be waived. The only cost will be the company’s standard $19.95 shipping and handling fee; most orders are returned the same day.

"As we prepare for the holiday season, we want the power of family pictures, especially those generations of analog snapshots, to be shared in today’s all-digital world to help boost morale and signal that American businesses are grateful for our military’s service to our nation," said Mitch Goldstone, President and CEO of ScanMyPhotos.com. Goldstone explained that his customer, who is also a Vietnam Veteran, suggested this program.

Over the past 20 years, the retail and international Ecommerce photo service founded several other grassroots campaigns, including "Operation Photo," where used digital cameras were donated to military families. Background, see link: https://www.scanmyphotos.com/news.html
